Last One Out Turns Out the Lights

Well, my Facebook notes seem to be working well. So, this will be my last post on blogger. You have served me well little Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test but it's time to move on. This reminds me of when I closed my geocities homepage, Sugar Shack. :( I feel like I'm finished here.

Over the next few days, I'm going to be dismantaling this beast. The posts that are up here will disappear but not be forgotten. There's a lot of memories here - four years worth. What a wild, crazy, absolutely incredibly four years!

Once again, if you want to keep in touch and keep reading the ramblings, feel free to look me up on the 'Book. http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=504537783 I think most of you have made the transition already anyway.

So to those of you how have stuck around, thank you. I don't play the whole instant messaging game any more but please keep in touch. I'm a regular e-mail checker and, like most people, I have a phone. alisampson@gmail.com I miss you all terribly.

Coconut Monkey's Fishing Trip Posted by Hello

Killing Your Brain Like A Poisonous Mushroom

It's been well over a year but like Vanilla Ice, I'm back with a venegence and some new rockin' b-boy beats. I must say I am much impressed with the updated blogger. Snazzy. I'm less impressed with my comments being deleted. It really looks like I was spending all that time talking to myself. Oh wait.

...

I have been so completely inspired to restart my blog. I have been missing a certain level of introspection in my life lately. I have determined that the failure of my updating is mostly due to the high expectations I placed on myself. So this time I'm going to do things a little differently. This time I'm going to picture you all naked....except Dave....I'll just picture Blair instead.

So what's important to tell you about the past 14 months? Check out this handy dandy list. I:

  • single-handly protected the world from a tenquence.
  • took the coconut monkey to a grassy knoll with Ed and Curt.
  • met a guy named Rod and his nose-fetished dog named Roo.
  • was chased at high speeds by a Subway Sandwich Artist and took him out with a little help from my new INTPy-goodness friend.
That's pretty much the highlights. Oh and I'm getting married in a couple of weeks, got a new car and am moving to Toronto.

I will be back tomorrow with 33% more content and 100% less bullet points.

Trip Log: Day Five
Thursday, April 22nd

Today is my birthday. Joanne, Jason, and Connor gave me a card with fifty bucks in it. I told them they didn't have to but they did anyway. My mom called to wish me a happy birthday and told me that Janis called from Florida yesterday. Janis' birthday was yesterday and she's at Walt Disney World on a school trip. Actually, it's more than that. She got to be in the Main Street Parade at the Magic Kingdom. We aren't usually apart for our birthdays. In fact, I can't remember if we ever weren't together.

Joanne and I took Connor on a walk today and went to the Free Store. We spent a lot of time there. The Free Store is government funded and is operated by two people from France. I got a big bag of shirts and two books - Gulliver's Travels and Everything I Know I Learned In Kindergarten. And the best part was it was free. We had so much stuff that Joanne had to carry Connor back home while I pushed the stroller full of stuff. I told my dad about this place when he called tonight and he told me to go back on Tuesday and fill a bag for him. He didn't care what I picked up. You have to understand that my dad would own shares in Value Village if he could. When dad called, he sang me Happy Birthday - all the way through. What a weirdo! (At least I know where I get it.) When we went to the post office today, there was a package for me from home. My mom sent me a book about sexuality which I thought was a lot odd. My sister sent me the new Great Big Sea cd and a Veggie Tales birthday card as well as a coupon she clipped from the newspaper for Jersey's. Eddie and I tried to make that our regular spot but haven't been too successful. There were cards with money from my Aunt Joyce, Uncle Dub, and Cousin Robbie Todd and my cousin Rosemary and her family.

For supper, we got Chinese from the local Chinese restaurant. It was delicious. A meal for two fed three of us with left-overs. My fortune said that I will make lots of money in bed. I'm unsure of how I feel about that.

In the night, we watched Survivor. They do that every Thursday and since there's only four channels, it's a big event. After Survivor was a double dose of Will & Grace. I spent some time on the internet afterward and made my way to bed, reading a bit of my book first.
